Not only are pinafores for primary schools or for the ages 6 and below. Pinafores have become a staple item in my wardrobe especially during winter. You can release your inner 4 year old and wear a roll neck top (red top under black pinafore is one of the ways I like to wear it) or go more school girl chic and wear a blouse or polo shirt. As some pinafore have a baggy oversized feel to them, they can make you seem like your figure is non-existent. To add more shape and show your figure add a plain black thick rimmed belt to the waist by dong this you are drawing the attention to your waist. Also by adding a scarf or kimono it adds a pop of colour and makes it look a little less like a 4 year old. Pairing it with a black floral kimono I feel like I'm summoning my inner misty day. To complete the look I pair it with either black studded boots for more of a rock chic feel or black hi-top converse for a more laid back feel.
